HOW IT ALL STARTED
Foorter's origins are in Formentera. It all started with a first idea of a group of young people wanting to express the unique lifestyle of the island. That concept materialized with what was our first design of sunglasses with its own personality and touches of freshness, elegance, rebellion and good vibes.
From that moment, everything began to roll and we started. We started thinking about how to give a name to the concept we just created. We found Foorter and that was the one. For us it represents perfectly what we want to bring you with our sunglasses. We want you to feel Foorter and bring you a world of sensations that you can take as a complement and, above all, make you feel good.
We were very clear that we wanted to have control of the entire process from product design to the last detail of workshop production. Therefore, we centralize all phases in Spain.
From the beginning, we wanted to bet on our own, timeless and modern design that represented what had pushed us to create glasses with our own personality: our experiences in Formentera and Ibiza.
Each model has its own story and a unique design. Our sunglasses are inspired by the environment that surrounds us, with its history and tradition, adding the different point of the combination of cultures and styles that exist today in Formentera. We have always been conquered by the positive energy and free spirit that characterizes the island.
All this results in casual designs, with modern and elegant lines. We are proud to be able to say that our sunglasses represent a different and unique lifestyle.
Handmade in Spain
Our workshops are located in Spanish territory, which allows us to be on top of each glasses and have control at all times of everything that is happening in the production process, from the reception of the acetate sheets to polishing and shine final. In this way, we ensure that the sunglasses we offer you are of high quality.
At Foorter we merge new technologies with our human effort in order to create, develop and manufacture our own glasses.
We use 5 numerical control milling machines to which we send all the information from our modern design software. These coordinates tell the machine which tools to use, what speed of tool rotation to have at each moment, how deep to cut...
It is a work of many phases that run around the entire goggle until the desired design can be achieved. It is the freedom of movement of this machine that allows us to create a Foorter glasses with a differentiated and unique design on the market.
The temples, also cut with numerical control milling machines, are attached to the front by means of high-quality Italian hinges. The marking of the rods is carried out with a CO2 laser that results in text with high definition that lasts over time.
Our high quality polarized lenses, apart from highlighting the contrast of colors, help us to eliminate glare, allowing us to enjoy outdoor activities much more.
In total we use up to 11 machines to complete the entire manufacturing and give the customer a product of high quality, personality and luxury.
The Raw Material
We use 100% Italian material. Italy is a country with a long tradition in the manufacture of glasses and it is in Italy where we find the best raw materials in the sector.
Mazzucchelli acetate is considered the best in the world and has been making acetate since 1849. Cellulose acetate is of vegetable origin and is obtained from cotton and wood pulp.
Visottica hinges have been manufactured since 1947. It is a leading company in the sector that makes high-quality components for the optical sector.
The lenses are polarized of high quality and in addition to highlighting the contrast of colors, they help us to eliminate glare, allowing us to enjoy outdoor activities much more.
